Before having my son Aiden I worked in the fast paced financed industry for many years. When he was born i decided to quit my job and be a full time stay at home mom. It was wonderful BUT I was looking for something and I didn't know what it was. When I went to my first Stroller Strides class in January 2014 with my very active 8 month old I had no idea that my life was about to change. I found a place to exercise WITH my son AND meet other moms who were looking for the same thing - A village of moms so to speak that were either stay at home moms, part time moms, moms on maternity leave who had children around the same age as mine. Women that I could relate with. These bonds began to form almost immediately. 2 and 1/2 years later when the franchise went up for sale I took the plunge and it has been a very exciting adventure for my family and I. In a couple of months I got certified as a Stroller Strides Instructor and took ownership of this business while being 7 months pregnant. These moms have been my drive and my inspiration for why I bought this franchise and I am so excited for the journey thats ahead of me.more
I’ll start with a little background of my professional career. I taught Pre-k in Delaware for 2 years after graduating from West Chester University. I moved to North Carolina shortly after that and taught Pre-K, Special Education, and second grade there. I loved teaching, it is definitely a passion of mine. When my husband and I found out we were expecting we made the move back up to PA. I knew my days of teaching in the public schools were over but was not sure what my next career move would be. I started Stroller Strides when my little girl Gianna was about 4 months. My only regret was I wish I had known about this Fit4Mom program sooner! I was hooked after one class and found a real sense of community I had been looking for after having my daughter. I was welcomed, supported, and needed all the “Mom advice” I could get. It is such a wonderful feeling to set a good example for our young children that exercise is important. That’s why in April of 2016 I became a certified Stroller Strides and Fit4Baby trainer. It was a great fit for my family and I, and I absolutely love what I do! Empowering moms to be the best, strongest version of themselves for themselves and their families!
